Golden Globes 2012 Winners

Viewers who tuned in to look at Ricky Gervais humiliate all the celebrities at the 2012 Golden Globes walked away alittle disappointed when his watered-down insults barely injured the overinflated egos of the likes of Madonna, Elton John and HFPA itself. after his gap monologue, Gervais gave the impression to disappear backstage, and only came out on many occasions to present somewhat delicate jabs at his star-studded audience. Clearly, he had been restrained.

However, there was somewhat of drama when Madonna was awarded the statue for Best Original Song. Elton John’s husband David Furnish took to Facebook to complain that Madonna’s acceptance speech, with its varying mixture of British-America accent, was “embarrassing in its narcissism.” Elton had been nominated within the same class.

Furnish wrote, “Madonna. Best Song???? F**k off!!!”

But David wrote on Facebook, “Madonna winning Best Original Song actually shows how these awards have nothing to try to to with benefit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in it’s narcissism. And her critisism of Gaga shows how desperate she very is.”

Meanwhile, on the movie facet of things, The Descendants and therefore the Artist took home the most effective picture awards, for Drama and Musical/Comedy. George Clooney and Jean Dujardin won Best Actor awards. within the main actress classes, Meryl Streep and Michelle Williams both won for taking part in Margaret Thatcher within the Iron woman, and Williams for her role as Marilyn Monroe in My Week With Marilyn, respectively.

For tv, Homeland won Best Drama Series. Best Actor award for Drama visited Kelsey Grammer for Boss and in Comedy, Matt LeBlanc won for Episodes. The charismatic Peter Dinklage won Best Supporting Actor, Series, Miniseries or Movie for his performance in Game of Thrones.
