Innovative Lumus Heater by Julia Rotenberger & Oliver Eckstein

Designer Julia Rotenberger & Oliver Eckstein has Designed this with outdoor workers in mind, the Lumus heater is an innovative, mobile single-person heating system that uses a built-in heating coil and integrated fan to produce a “heat cone” around the user, keeping them toasty in even the most frigid of weather. Simply stand on the dot to activate the unit. No open flame and no CO2 production make it a great way to keep warm indoors too.

The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages, and inspires the next generation of design engineers. It’s run by the James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson’s charitable trust, as part of its mission to inspire young people about design engineering.
